Heather Lajoice McKinely Price, age 35, of Paducah, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2020, 6:52 a.m. at Mercy Health Lourdes.
She was employed by Paducah City School System as a third grade teacher at Emma Morgan Elementary and Clark Elementary. She was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and received her Bachelors of Science and Master’s degree in education at Murray State University.
She was a member of Ninth Street Church of Christ where she served as Sunday School Teacher and Asssistant Youth Director.
She was preceded in death by her infant sister, Carrie Lynn McKinely, her maternal grandfather, Tom Johnson and paternal grandparents, Nathaniel and Roberta McKinely.
She is survived by her husband of eight years, Johnny Price III, one son, Ezekiel Price, her parents, Preston McKinely and Joyce Ann Johnson McKinely all of Paducah, KY; two sisters, Jamanda Johnson of Portland, TN and Tina (Leonard) Cope of Paducah, KY; two brothers, Leo McKinely and Shawn McKinely both of Paducah, KY; maternal grandmother, Ethel Johnson of Dresden, TN; mother-in- law, Rosemary Price of New Orleans, LA; father-in-law, Johnny (Veretta) Price, Jr. and , two sister-in-laws, Johnnieker Price and Johnraver Price both of New Orleans, LA, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a wide circle of friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020, 12 Noon at Ninth Street Church of Christ with Mark Rowe officiating. Entombment will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
A walk-thru visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home and at the church on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
