God, the Heavenly Father, blessed Ada Mae Bowden Fields with an earthly existence as the lovely daughter to Lottie Mae Bowden on April 5, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois. God also saw in his infinite wisdom to call Ada Mae to eternal rest from Baptist Health Paducah Hospital on Monday, June 28, 2021, at 2:31 p.m. At the time of her transition to her Heavenly Home, Ada Mae had sojourned here on earth for 75 years, 2 months and 23 days.
Ada Mae was a member of First Liberty Missionary Baptist Church where she served as Deaconess. She was a 1964 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and served the community and surrounding area as a Child Care Provider at the Western Baptist Child Care Development of Paducah.
Ada Mae was super witty and had an answer for everything set before her. She had a keen sense of humor and was quite fond of reading in her spare time. Ada Mae was very adamant about spending time with her family and would delight their appetites with her delicious prepared meals, especially her scrumptious sweet potato pies. She would also take the time to listen to her favorite musical sounds, those that would fit her spirit at the time.
Ada Mae leaves both family and friends to cherish her beloved existence: Her Spouse of 53 Years, Clarence Fields of Paducah, KY; One Daughter, Clarissa (Reverend Marcus) White of Paducah, KY; Three Grandchildren, Delicia Williams and Eric White, Both of Paducah, KY and Alexa White of Louisville, KY; Two Great-Grandchildren, Urijah Williams and Elijah Williams, both of Paducah, KY; One Brother, Kenneth Bowden of St. Albans, NY; One Sister, Veronica Parham of Paducah, KY; One Brother -In-Law, Mark Fields and One Sister-In-Law, Marilyn Bryant, Both of Paducah, KY; A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
Ada Mae was preceded in death by her mother, Lottie Mae Bowden; Her Special Uncle, Jesse Bowden; four sisters and four brothers.
Ada Mae Bowden Fields will be greatly missed by both her family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Monday July 5, 2021, 11:00 a.m., here in the funeral home chapel. Minister Marcus White will officiate and burial will follow on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, 11:00 a.m., in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Friends may also call on the family here on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
All attendees are required to wear masks.
