Zada E. Lane Belt, age 87, of Paducah went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 2:23 p.m. Wednesday from the Baptist Health Paducah.
Mrs. Belt was a native of Pocahontas, Arkansas. She was a very active member of the Christ Community Church where she served as a greeter and also worked in the Ladies Ministry.
Surviving are her daughter, Denise Scott and husband Joe of Paducah; one son, Mark Belt of Boaz, Kentucky; one stepsister, Imogene Harned of Lone Oak; ten grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Belt; a son, Darryle Belt; and one brother.
Her parents were Hoyt Lane and Lucy Ellen Clark Lane.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, January 26, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. at the Christ Community Church with the Rev. Tim Turner and Rev. Roger Whetstone officiating. Private burial will take place Monday at the Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at Christ Community Church.
