Sue Evans

April 17, 1940 — March 16, 2015

Sue Frances Watts Evans, 74, of Paducah, died Monday, March 16, 2015 at Lourdes Hospital. Sue was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 17, 1940 to the late Bruce Elliott Watts and Dorothy B. Southerland Watts. She graduated from Paducah Community College with a degree in AutoCAD, which led her into a 33-year career with ISP-Calvert City. Sue was a longtime member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church. She was very involved with Freedom Forever Ministry, a Christian ministry to incarcerated women. Sue was a competitive and successful tennis player who played in many USTA tournaments around the region.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Charles Meade Evans, Sr.; children, Charles Evans, Jr. and wife Rhonda of North Carolina, Tracy Hastings and husband David of West Paducah, and Nathan Evans and wife Dana of Lone Oak; grandchildren, Marky Jo Lear and husband Tanner, Macey K. Evans and fiancé Jacob Karnes, Shelby Hastings, and Priscilla Eidson and husband Chris; great grandsons, Finley Preston Lear, Traygon Eidson, and Tristan Eidson; and brothers, Bruce Watts and wife Pat of Calvert City and Bill Watts and wife Sheri of LaGrange.

Preceding her in death were her brother, Jim Watts; and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Wallace and Dr. Dan Summerlin officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
