Shirley Rouse

September 16, 1936 — February 16, 2018

Shirley G. Rouse, age 81, of Paducah, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, 9:21 p.m., at Baptist Health of Paducah.

She was member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School , was a member of the choir and president of the Women's Missionary Ministry. Shirley was a graduate of the former Lincoln High School.

Shirley was formerly employed as an auditor for the United States Postal Service, an operator with the Calvert City B.F Goodrich Company and as a security guard at the McCracken County Court House. She was an associate with both the Harrison Street Juvenile Ministry and the McCracken County Jail Ministry and was also honored as a Duchess of Paducah.

She is survived by five sons, Derwin B. Rouse, Joshua McNeal and Timothy McNeal, all of Paducah, Damon L. Rouse of Yuma, AZ and Vincent McNeal of Evansville, IN; one daughter, Karen Davis of Paducah; several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; seven nieces; seven nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Rouse, Sr., her parents, Rufus Greer and Willie B. Samuels Greer; two sons, Robert Earl Rouse, Jr. and Timothy D. Rouse; three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 24, 2018, 11:00 A.M., at Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend James L. Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
