Shirley France

Shirley Burton France, age 78 of Paducah, KY died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at her home. Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church of Paducah and was a retired Court Reporter. Shirley was a former member of the Suburban Garden Club. She enjoyed flowers and garden and had a keen interest in red flowers and also enjoyed reading and needle point. Shirley was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan and enjoyed traveling to New York for shopping and trips to Alaska and Hawaii.

Survivors include one daughter, Kim France Holloway of Paducah, KY; one son, Tim France and wife Donna of Owensboro, KY; one sister, Shelbie Burton Hall of Paducah, KY; four grandchildren, Melissa Holloway Nelson and husband Brad of Frankfort, KY, Wesley France of Washington, D.C., Justin France & Sarah France both of Bowling Green, KY; one great-granddaughter Braelyn Nelson, Frankfort, KY,

Preceding in death was her husband, Rollie Joe France, her parents, George Elton Burton JR & Nola Marie Purcell Burton and one grandson, Chris Holloway.

Services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Paul Strahan officiating.

Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery. The France family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
