Sarah Marshall

July 19, 1934 — February 6, 2013

Sarah E. Meeks Marshall, 78, of Paducah passed away at 7:06 a.m. Wednesday, Feb., 6, 2013, at her residence.

Mrs. Marshall was the oldest living charter member of Victory Assembly of God and she was a retired social worker with the Department of Social Services.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne "Pip" Marshall; her brother, Jesse B. "JB" Meeks of Evansville Ind.; nephews, Kenneth Wayne Meeks, Rick Meeks, Jimmy Meeks, Charles Meeks Jr., Robert Meeks, Carlos Woods; nieces, Shelby Jean Waldrige and Cheryl Meeks Kreger; several great-nieces and nephews; and several more great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Jessie Newton Meeks Sr. and Myra Marie Besly Meeks; her brothers, James E. "Pete" Meeks Sr., Kenneth Bruce Meeks, Newton Meeks Jr., and Charles Z. Meeks Sr.; nephews, Gerald Meeks and Howard Meeks; and nieces, Bianca June Sumner and Elaine Meeks.

Funeral services for Mrs. Marshall will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Gary DeRossett officiating.

Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Visitation for Mrs. Marshall will be after 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the funeral home.
