Ronald L. George

Ronald L. George, age 66 of Atlanta, GA, was born on July 7, 1956 in Paducah, KY to the late Edwin C. George, Sr., and Rosa L. George. He transitioned into eternal life May 1, 2023.

Ronald was a 1974 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School where he played football. He attended the University of Tennessee Martin majoring in law enforcement. While at UT Martin he acquired the nicknames “Paducah,” “Duke,” and “Hands” from his teammates. He loved the game of football.

To remember his gentle nature he leaves three sons, Ryan Shanklin of Gallatin, TN, Brandon Procter and Malcolm George, both of Atlanta, GA; one grandson, Julian Shanklin of Gallatin, TN; two sisters, Dianne George of Madison, TN and Beverly George Stone of Hendersonville, TN; three brothers, Edwin George, Jr. and Michale George, both of Paducah, KY, and Thomas George of Louisville, KY; one brother-in-law, Billy Stone of Hendersonville, TN; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edwin C. George, Sr., and Rosa L. George, and one sister, Debra George Crosby.

A memorial celebration will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at the Maplelawn Park Cemetery Mausoleum 1335 N. 13th Street Paducah, KY.
