Rollie France

November 28, 1931 — March 23, 2012

Rollie J. France, 80, of Paducah passed away March 23, 2012, at his residence.

Mr. France was a member of Paducah First Baptist Church and a Navy veteran where he played fast pitch softball for the Navy all-star team. He was a former board chairman for Paducah Tourism Committee, a member of Paducah Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Civil Service Commission for the City of Paducah. He was on the Paducah Area Transit Service Board for several years, and he was an avid UK fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Shirley Burton France; his daughter, Kim France Holloway of Paducah; his son, Tim France and wife Donna of Owensboro; and his four grandchildren, Melissa Holloway Bishop, Justin France, Wesley France, and Sarah France.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Rollie France and Rauzie Harper France; and one grandson, Chris Holloway.

Services for Mr. France will be at noon Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Jerry Hoover officiating.

Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Visitation for Mr. France will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday at the funeral home.
