Robert Lindsey

Robert Earl Lindsey, 71, of Paducah KY went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2014 at 5:22 a.m. at Superior Care Home after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He attended Soutland Baptist Temple. Robert entered retail sales in 1961 at the Wonder Market Grocery at 10th and Broadway. He was employed at Coca-Cola in 1966 as a route salesman and eventually retiring in 1998 in management position. Robert had numberous hobbies and side jobs throughout his life with Charlene. He never shied away from work as a painter, carpenter, landscaper and other small jobs. He enjoyed his leisure time boating, fishing, hunting and many summer years at Paducah Khoury League. He spend multile years supporting his two sons during their youthful summers. He was very active during those years and even creating additional playing fields to insure every young person could play beaseball. He was a member of the Southside Kiwanis Clus, Paducah Jaycees and the Paducah Khoury League. Robert was awarded the "Duke of Paducah" for his accomplishments and achievements for the Padcuah Khoury League.
Robert is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 52 years, Charlene Crenshaw Lindsey of Paducah, KY; sons, Bobby Lindsey and wife Theressa of Paducah, KY and Wes Lindsey of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, McKenna Gray Lindsey and Kolton Wes Lindsey both of Paducah, KY; step children, Brian Brielle George, Cheyana George and Cayden George all of Jackson, CA; brothers, Jimmie Dale Lindsey and wife Gail of Ledbetter, KY and Gary Ray Lindsey of Paducah, KY.
His parents were Robert Akron "Ted" Lindsey and Emma Mae Gray Lindsey.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
He leaves numerous brothers and sisters in law. The family wants to say Thank You for all the acts of kindness during Robert's illness.
