Obituary for Robert Edmond Lampkin
Robert E. Lampkin, age 72, of Paducah KY formerly of Melber KY, passed away at 1:00 am on Wednesday, July, 15, 2015 at his residence.
Robert was a United States Army veteran, a retired electrician for the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, and a member of the American Legion.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, of 35 years, Sandra Thompson Lampkin; four daughters, Tina Lamkins Blue of Paducah, KY, Lynda Holshouser and husband Troy, of Symsonia, KY, Kathy Lamkins Williams of Tilene, and Michelle Lamkins McConnell and husband John of Waterford, MS; one son, Gary Lamkins and wife Sally of Girand, KS; one sister, Cloteen Wooley McAlpin and husband Kenneth of Folsomdale, KY; one brother, Wilford Lamkins and wife Susan of Hotsprings AR; thirteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doffis Lamkin and Eva Goins Lamkin; and four brothers.
Funeral services for Robert will be 1:00 pm on Friday, July, 17, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. O.D. Joiner officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Visitation for Robert will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
