Robert Johnson

December 18, 1931 — December 30, 2014

Robert Louis Johnson, 83 years and 12 days old, left his earthly home for eternal rest on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, 6:50 PM, from Tri-Star StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna, Tennessee. He was born to the late George Monroe and Mary Lee Bradsford Johnson on December 18, 1931, in Fulton County, Kentucky. Robert was also preceded in death by his son, Glenn Pollard, Sr., his grandson, Glenn Pollard, Jr., three brothers, Harry W. Johnson, Hubert D. Johnson, and Norman Johnson, and three sisters, Margaret Johnson Cross, Ida Mae Hutcherson, and Manon Morris. .

He was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where he had served as Trustee and as an Usher. He was a retiree with sixteen years of employment with the Tennessee Valley Authority as Purchasing Agent, Wet-Scrubber and Fossil Operator. He took great pride in knowing that he was a "CANCER SURVIVOR" and a participant in many of the McCracken County Cancer Relay For Life Walks. Robert was also a member of Stone Square Lodge #5,
F & AM, P.H.A.

Robert took great enjoyment in cooking his favorite delectable dishes for family and friends, fishing for the catch of the day, hunting, caring for his hunting dogs, and watching television sports, especially University of Kentucky Basketball, Tennessee Titan Football, and St. Louis Cardinal Baseball.

Robert was a good man and loved by his family, especially his darling daughter, Joyce, who looked upon him as her very special and loving father.
