DANVILLE - Mildred L. Lowry, 88, of Danville, formerly of Paducah, passed away, Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.

She was born in Hazard, KY., on December 12, 1924, to the late Thomas Clyde Leveridge and Maude P. Walker Leveridge. She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelors of Business Administration, and a member of Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church. An avid bridge player, she was a member of several bridge clubs, and a former member of the Suburban Garden Club in Paducah.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Dwain H. Lowry; her daughter, Linda Huston and husband William of Harrodsburg, KY.; five grandchildren, Patrick Green of Mt. Mckinley, California, Benjamin Green and wife Amy of Lexington, Kate Green of Lexington, Patrick Huston and wife Sarah of Lexington, Suzanne Huston of Washington D.C.; five great-grandchildren; and her niece, Sheila Walker and husband Sherman of Fulton.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dwain H. Lowry Jr.; and her parents, Thomas Clyde Leveridge, and Maude P. Walker Leveridge.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lowry will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Gregory Waldrop officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Visitation for Mrs. Lowry will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November, 9, 2013. at the funeral home.
