Marion Thomasson Sr

SYMSONIA - Marion "Buddy" Louis Thomasson Sr., 75, of Symsonia died Friday at his son's home in Sevierville, Tenn.
Mr. Thomasson was a member of Southland Baptist Temple and retired as captain of the Paducah Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine "Betty" Slagle Thomasson; one daughter, Linda Ann Ingram of Freelandville, Ind.; one son, Marion "Bud" Louis Thomasson Jr. of Sevierville; six sisters, Mary Louise Edwards and Martha Lucille Hines, both of Paducah, Sandra Jean Boulton of La Center, Geraldine Nall and Patricia Whalen, both of Memphis, and Mildred Ray of Paducah; five brothers, Arvel James Thomasson of Cleveland, Tenn., Harold Thomasson of Norfolk, Va., Eddie Thomasson of Paducah, Billy Thomasson of Hawaii, and Ricky Thomasson of Metropolis, Ill.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His parents were Ollie James and Mildred Nelson Thomasson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Jimmy Franks officiating. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Southland Baptist Temple Mission Team, 927 Yarbro Lane, Paducah, KY 42003.
