Mable Robertson

July 6, 1913 — March 26, 2013

Mabel Robertson, age 99, a resident of West Chicago, Illinois, went to be with the Lord March 26, 2013, at Rosewood Nursing Home, with her family by her side. in 1996 Mabel moved to West Chicago to live with her daughter Pamela and son-in-law, Richard Clark. In October of 2012 it became necessary for her to move to Rosewood Care Center due to failing health.

She was born July 6, 1913 in Gordon, Nebraska in the parsonage of her Grandfather's church. Her father was a farmer and her mother was a midwife/nurse. Mabel has lived from coast to coast. After marrying John in Yuma, Arizona, she was a dedicated Navy Wife for 30 years. Her pride was her family as it grew from 1 daughter to 2 grandchildren to 6 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Water's Edge Bible Church in West Chicago.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Jean (Richard) Clark; two grandchildren, Tamara Jean (Robert) Oakley, and Richard James (Jeni) Clark Jr.; and 6 great-grandchildren, Rebekah Brianne, JoAnna Lynn, Michelle Erin, and Daniel Micah Oakley, Emma Celeste and Madeline Rose Clark.

Mabel was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John Tilghman Robertson, her granddaughter, JoAnna Sue Clark, as well as her parents and 2 brothers.

A visitation will be held Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Water's Edge Bible Church, 209 S. Oakwood Ave., West Chicago, Illinois 60185. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at a later date in Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah, Kentucky.
