Louise Wiman

November 16, 1919 — January 13, 2015

Louise Long Wiman, 95,longtime resident of Paducah, KY was received by her heavenly Father on
1/13/15.She was born on November 16, 1919 to Jim and Cora Long in Chattanooga, Tennessee
where she was an active member of Ridgedale Baptist Church. She attended the University of
Chattanooga and worked as a bookkeeper for Hamilton National Bank and United Hosiery Mill.
On November 17, 1957 Louise married the Reverend Wayne Wiman and became at once both a
preacher's wife and mom to Wayne's teenage son David and six-year old daughter Vicki. She set an
example as a loving, devoted wife, mother, and servant to the congregations. She was well known
as an extraordinary cook and her craft projects lent Reverend Wiman's children's sermons
unforgettable flair. Together, Wayne and Louise Wiman served at churches in Chattanooga, TN,
Fayetteville, TN; Paducah, KY; and Sturgis, KY. They "retired" in Paducah.

Louise was a member of Andrew Jackson Eastern Star #370 in Fayetteville, TN. She was honored
as a KY Colonel and Duchess of Paducah. She was the oldest member of Margaret Hank
Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Paducah, KY. She lived at Jackson Oaks Retirement
Community for 9.5 years and Fountain View Nursing home in Eldorado, IL for the past year.
Family survivors include her stepchildren David (Toni) of Harrisburg, IL and Vicki of Tallahassee,
FL; grandson Bobby (Lisa) of Eldorado, IL; great-grandsons Jacob (Darcie) of Benton, IL; and Jared
(Shauna) with their three great-great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kylie, and Aydon all of Harrisburg, IL;
several step grandchildren and their families; nieces Gail Stewart (Tom) of Dothan, AL, Rev. Mary
Parson of Calhoun, TN,; nephews Bob of Mattoon, IL, Warren (Loretta) of Newton, IL, and Ferrell
(Mary Lynn) of Mt. Vernon, IL; and beloved friends Frances and Eddie Rudolph. She is preceded in
death by her parents, Jim and Cora Long; her sister Naomi and brother Alton.

She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Rev. Wayne Wiman.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2015 at Milner
& Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, 120 Memorial Drive Paducah, KY with Rev. Mary Parson, Rev.
Chris Fleming and Rev. Mariann Lankton officiating. Private burial at Maplelawn Park Cemetery
will follow.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of
Paducah.
