Julia Nell Wood, 86, of Paducah, passed away Monday, October 7th, 2013, at Morningside Assisted Living in Paducah.
Mrs. Wood, born October 18, 1926, was a housewife and member of Fountain Ave. United Methodist Church and Rebekah's Circle.
Surviving are two sons, Stephen A. (Rosalie) Wood of Brentwood, TN., and Harold L. (Ruth) Wood of Paducah; one daughter, Suzanne (Gary) Spiceland of Paducah; five grandsons; two great-grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph Wood; parents, Chester M. and Harriet Stephens; stepmother; Myrtle Stephens; one brother, Chester M. Stephens Jr.; and one great-grandson, Gabriel Alexander Wood.
Visitation will be at Lindsey Funeral Home Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Waldrop officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Roth Funeral Chapel of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Fountain Avenue Methodist Church Renovation Project, at 300 Fountain Ave., Paducah, KY 42001.
