Johnie "Nannie" Cook, 75, of Paducah, passed away Tuesday, April, 1, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family.

Johnie was born on December, 11, 1938 to Grace and Bode Cunningham in Graves County. She was a beloved mother, grandmother,

and great-grandmother. She loved to read, camp and cook for her family and friends. Everyone enjoyed her special "Nannie Candy"

during the holidays. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She showered them daily with her love and attention.

She was retired from Western Baptist Hospital, where she worked in the housekeeping department.

She is survived by five daughters, Freda Davenport and husband Allen of Knoxville, Tenn., Karen Phillips and husband Ed of

Clarksville, Tenn., Kathy Tarry and husband Jerry of Benton, Teri Cook of Paducah and Sandy Parrish and husband Paul of Mayfield;

three sons, Scott Cook of Paducah, Joe Cook and wife Rhonda of Paducah and Steve Cook and wife Cristy of Paducah; 14 grandchildren,

Matthew Hicks, Ashley Hicks, Amber Collins, Justin Collins, Briah Cook, Brandon Cook, Jeff Cook, Alex Cook, Steven Cook Jr.,

Eli Cook, Dalton Strong, Blake Strong, Christian Parrish, Dakota Parrish; five great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Cook, Elan Collins,

Evelyn Collins, Veda Hicks, Jordan Mayo; three sisters, Marilyn Sams, Dorothy Hill and Patsy Crane; and several nieces and

nephews.

Johnie was preceded in death by her lifelong companion, Fred Cook; and one sister, Vira Peterson.

Funeral services for Johnie will be 12 p.m. noon Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Burial

will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Visitation for Johnie will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, April, 4, 2014, at 1:00 pm
