Graveside services for John "Sam" Dickerson, 70, of Stone Mountain, Ga., formerly of Paducah, will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah.
Mr. Dickerson died at 3:14 p.m. March 31 at DeKalb Medical Center in Stone Mountain.
He was an agriculturalist and a former member of Antioch Baptist Church in Brownsville, Tenn.
He is survived by his father, Ernest Dickerson of Milwaukee; two sons, Eric Dickerson of Aurora, Ill., and Adrian Stubblefield of Paducah; five daughters, Rhonda Red of Sacramento, Calif., Sharon Dillon and Maurine Edwards, both of Milwaukee, Charise Stubblefield of Paducah and Tiffany Bolen of Decatur, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Faye Morris of Paducah; three sisters, Alice Lovelace and Pearl Carter, both of Paducah, and Laura Pullen of Dallas; three brothers, Thomas Dickerson, Kenneth Dickerson and Leonard Dickerson, all of Milwaukee; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Martin Dickerson; his mother, Alice Taylor Johnson; and two brothers.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon Monday at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home in Paducah.
