James Yates

James Yates, age 86, of Paducah passed away Friday at 9 p.m. at the Medco Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mr. Yates was a native of Memphis, Tenn. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 184.
He is survived by his two sisters, Margaret Jones of Paducah and Beatrice Methney of Powell, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June Woodland Yates; his brother, Jerry W. Yates; and parents, Leonard L. Yates and Mary Hazel Harris Yates.
A private burial service will be held on Monday. Keeling Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
