Hettie Burton

Hettie E. Burton, 80, of Paducah died at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday at Lourdes hospital.

Mrs. Burton was a self-employed seamstress for over 20 years. She was a member of Southland Baptist Temple.

She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Owens of Gainesville, Fla., and Garry Owens of Ashland City, Tenn.; one daughter, Linda Crews of Paducah; two sisters, Cozette Doucet of Smithland and Elizabeth Sunderland of Lola; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Burton; and four infant children, Sylvia, Brenda, Judy and Terry. Her parents were Floyd Randles and Moline Swinford Sexton.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with the Revs. Harold Council and Topper Council officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
