Harold Wood

Harold Edward Wood, 98, of Paducah, died Thursday morning, September 21, 2017 at New Haven Assisted Living of Paducah. Harold was a retired machinist for Illinois Central Railroad. He was a member of Broadway Church of Christ and wa a proud WWII vetran who served at Pearl Harbo, Hawaii.

Harold is suvived by four nephews, Stephen (Rosalie) Wood of Brentwood, TN., Harold L. (Ruth) Wood of Paducah, Kenneth Wood of Houston, Texas and Danny (Melinda) Wood of Houston, Texas; one niece, Suzanne (Gary) Spiceland of Paducah; and one special family friend, Sue Eller of Paducah.

He was preceded in death by his spouse of 76 years, Bruton Anderson Wood; his parents, Forrest and Myrtle Cordelia Myers Wood; and two brothers, William R. and Kenneth E. Wood.

Friends may visit the family on Monday, September 25th, 2017 from 10 a.m. unti 12 noon at Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah. Funeral services will start at 12 noon following visitation with Pastor Andy Clausen officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Broadway Church of Christ Global Preacher Training Ministry.
