Glenn Young

Glenn Young, age 88, of Paducah, KY, passed away at 2:25 a.m. on Wednesday, March 02, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Young was a faithful member of Twelve Oaks Baptist Church where he was a Deacon Emeritus, Mr. Young was a 1946 graduate of Heath High School where he played varsity basketball and active in the choir, was and avid tennis player and loved UK basketball. Glenn was a retired Maintenance Mechanic for Martin Marietta and a U.S. Navy Veteran.

Mr. Young is survived by his wife, Clara Mae Bowles Young; daughter, Shirley Ann Young Cummings and husband Chester of Paducah, KY; son, Howard Lee Young and wife Nancy Carol of Sugar Land, TX; two grandchildren, Carrie Ervin and husband Jeff, Cristy McDonald and husband Sean; two great grandchildren, Ryan Ervin and Aubrey Ervin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.E. and Millie Holtkamp Young.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Louis Brinker officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the service time of 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
