E. Guthrie

E.C. Guthrie, 72, of Paducah, passed away at 2:31 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Western Baptist hospital.
He was born in Graves County. E.C. was a successful entrepreneur owning several different companies. He was a 1957 graduate of Sedalia High School where he played basketball. E.C. was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Guthrie and his wife Christie of Kevil and Craig Guthrie of Paducah; brothers, Howard Guthrie of Dyersburg, Tenn., Gilliam Guthrie of Mayfield, Larry Guthrie of Sharpe; grandchildren, Clay Guthrie, Kaitlyn Guthrie, Mitchell Guthrie; and several nieces and nephews.
E.C. was preceded in death by his wife, Jianna McClure Guthrie; one brother, Harold "Sonny" Guthrie; and his parents, E.C. Guthrie, Sr. and Annie Moefield Guthrie Rodgers.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Keith Tilford officiating.
Burial will follow in the Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2012 at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
