Doshia Shaw Hamlin, 92 of Paducah, passed away at 8:25 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2012, at Lourdes Hospital. Mrs. Hamlin was born October 16, 1920 in Liberty, MS, to the late James C. Johnson Sr. and Nancy McKey Johnson. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church since 1927, where she taught Sunday School for forty years. She is survived by her sons, Steve Shaw and wife Betty of Paducah,KY, and Dr. Jim Shaw and wife Christine of Radcliff, KY; five grandchildren, Jacqueline Williams and husband Phillip of Brentwood, TN, Courtney Jones and husband Adam of Lexington, KY, Jason Steven Shaw and wife Eva of Buckeye, AZ, Heather Shaw Scamihorn and husband Matt of Radcliff, KY, and James Jonathan Shaw of Louisville, KY; and eight great grandchildren, Ty Michael Logan, Abigail Renee Logan, Zackary James Logan, Aleah Scamihorn, Isaiah Steven Shaw, Kennedy LeAnn Williams, Payton Layne Williams, and Thomas Gavin Jones. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hamlin was preceded in death by her first husband Jack B. Shaw, and second husband James T. Hamlin; one sister Juanita Johnson, and one brother, James C. Johnson Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Jamie Broome officiating. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the funeral home.
