David A. Hicks, 65, of Paducah, passed away at 3:04 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2014, at his residence.

Mr. Hicks was a former owner of Bob Hicks & Sons Body Shop, Manager of Cremation Society of Paducah, a member of Oaklawn Baptist

Church and Deacon and a Sunday School Teacher for 44 years.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gail A. Hicks of Paducah; son, Dale A. Hicks and wife Chrissy of Marshall County;

daughter, Hollie R. Lockett and husband Jimmy of Marshall County; brother, Roger Hicks and wife Glenda of Reidland; five grandchildren,

Lacey Duncan and husband Jordan, Shelby A. Webb, Griffen Hicks, Garrett Hicks, Chase Webb; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Martha Hicks.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2014, at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Royce Dukes

officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery of Paducah.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014, at the funeral home.
