Obituary for Clara Weitlauf

Clara M. Mitchell Weitlauf, 83, of Evansville, IN, formerly of Paducah, KY, passed away at her residence at 12:04 pm on Saturday, May 31, 2014.

Clara was born May 28, 1931 in Golden Pond, KY to the late Herman and Lurline Mitchell. She will be remembered as a lady with many interests, who enjoyed life and was determined to excel at everything she did. She was an avid and skilled golfer who recorded five hole-in-ones, one eagle and won the Paducah Country Club Women's Championship. She was a member of the Garden Club, Bridge Club and while living in Paducah most recently, attended Trinity United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Mauck, of Poseyville, IN, Ann Haight, of Chicago, IL, Cathy Weitlauf, of Bowling Green, KY; her sons, Larry Baker and wife Angie, of Paducah, KY, Kenneth Baker and wife Marcella, of Tarpon Springs, FL, Jack J. Weitlauf Jr. and wife Teresa, of Bowling Green, KY; her sister, Mary Sakalaris, of Godfrey, IL; her grandchildren, Kara Baker, Ashley and Derek Baker, Korey and Kristopher Mauck, Lauren and Aaron Weitlauf, Bridget, Kyle and Sean Haight; her great grandchildren, Amber Hannah, Faith New, Ty, Cade and Bree Mauck, Landen Baker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty four years, Dr. Jack Jones Weitlauf Sr.; her parents, Herman Crenshaw Mitchell and Lurline Dunn Mitchell; her sister, Marie Pedigo; her brothers, Herman Mitchell Jr., Richard Mitchell and Thurman (Tim) Mitchell; her grandson, Kenny Baker.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 2, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Rev Paul Huntsman will officiate. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, June 2, 2014 from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
