Carnetta Lindsey May, 77, of McCracken County passed away peacefully at 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at her residence.
Mrs. May was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church and a graduate of the Augusta Tilghman High School Class of 1952. She was member of the Paducah Woman's Club and a former member of the Paducah Business and Professional Women's Club.
Surviving are her husband, John E. May; one daughter, Peggy (Todd) Henney of Paducah; one son, David A. (Lori) May of Nashville; and one granddaughter, Sophia Henney.
She was preceded in death by her father, Brodie D. Lindsey; her mother, Claudean Lindsey Maupin; her stepfather, A.P. Maupin; and one sister, Patricia Ann Lindsey. Her grandparents were Lloyd and Minnie Beggs, and Ray and Opal Lindsey.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindsey Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, and after 10 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800 or to any Gideon.
