Mrs. Barbara Engelberg
August 13, 1920 - April 29, 2014
Barbara Engelberg, 93 of Nashville, Tennessee died on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at
Woodcrest Nursing and Rehabillitation Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born in
Paducah, KY to Dr. and Mrs. R.B. Morrow. She became an active member of the Granny
White Church of Christ in 1998 after having been a long-time member of the West End
Church of Christ in Nashville, TN.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.K. Engelberg; brothers, Dr. C.G. Morrow of
Benton, KY and Robert C. Morrow of Paducah, KY; and great niece, Stacey Morrow
Lockhart of Nashville, TN.
She was retired following almost 30 years with the Department of Defense in Washington,
D.C., ending her service in the immediate Office of Assistant Secretary of Defense
(Comptroller).
She is survived by nieces: Judi Morrow Doty (George), Gilbertsville, KY; Shirley Morrow
Moulton (Larry), White Bluff, TN; Marilyn Morrow Harris, Paducah, KY; nephews: Paul C.
Morrow (Nancy) , Benton, KY; Eric Engelberg (Lori), Germantown, MD; Kent Engelberg,
Rockville, MD, great nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews; sisters-inlaw:
Anna Morrow, Benton, KY and Virginia Engelberg, Rockville, MD.
A Graveside Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at
Maplelawn Cemetery, Dale Jenkins of Spring Hill, TN officiating.
Interment will follow.
