Anna "MaDear" Cathrine Crockett, age 82, of Paducah, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016, 3:00 a.m., at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she served on both the Mother's Board and the usher board, as church secretary and treasurer and sang in the church choir. She was also a member of the Interdenominational Union Choir.
She was formerly employed as a presser with Dalton Cleaners and a court stenographer while residing in New York.
She is survived by four daughters, Brenda Kay Boatner of Jonesboro, LA, Vivian Christine Henry of Paducah, Carolyn Sue Crockett of Long Island, NY, Renee' D. Faulkner of Lawrenceville, GA; one son, Ronnie G. Crockett of Paducah; a step-daughter, Dorothy Watts of Paducah; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grand-children and 13 great great-grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur James Crockett; her parents, Reverend Samuel Franklin Cousins and Sue Eva Carmen Cousins and one daughter, Sandra Ann Trice.
Funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, September 8, 2016, 11:30 a.m., at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Friends may also call at the church on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral hour.
